How Old Was Yoda When He Died?
Yoda was 900 years old when he died in Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi (1983). Although he dies in Return Of The Jedi, he later returns as a Force Spirit in the prequel trilogy and sequel trilogy and tells the older Luke and Rey to fight Palpatine. Before dying in Return Of The Jedi, he tells Luke that his training will not complete until he fights Darth Vader, the biggest villain in the Star Wars universe, and unfortunately, Luke's father.
In the film, Yoda is a Jedi Master and a General in the Grand Army of the Republic. He had five apprentices under him and one of them was Luke Skywalker (protagonist). In the film, Yoda trains young Jedi warriors in Jedi Temple how to fight until they were assigned a master as he is the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. He is one of the oldest, wisest, and most powerful Jedi Master in the Star Wars universe.
Yoda first appeared in "The Empire Strikes Back" back in 1980. When Yoda was first introduced in the film, he was the mentor of Obi-Wan-Kenobi and lived in exile in a swamp planet of Dagobah. The only other two known alien of his species are Yaddle who appears in "The Phantom Menace," and Grogu that appears in Star Wars standalone series "The Mandalorian."
It is said that every Jedi warrior has been trained by Yoda in Jedi Temple, of which some of the first ones were Count Dooku, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan-Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Younglings, Qui-Gon-Jinn, Anakin Skywalker, and so on.
The voice in the film was given by Frank Oz and also performed as a lead puppeteer in "Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace" and in "The Last Jedi". Yoda is one of the best fantasy characters in the world.
